Welcome
Welcome to the home of the Phoenix Alliance of Black School Educators, also known as Phoenix ABSE or PhxABSE. We are the first local affiliate of the National Alliance of Black School Educators in the State of Arizona. As a result of the inaugural event in October 2020, we committed ourselves to support the needs of educators and students. Our organization advocates for educators who support students, particularly those of African Descent in the greater Phoenix Metro Area.
Phoenix ABSE exists to affirm the inherent worth, dignity, and educability of all people, particularly those of African descent.
Phoenix ABSE promotes achievement, development, and educational opportunities of youth and adults that will challenge them and change the forces that impede their progress. We launched the “Connect, Grow, Celebrate” initiative in 2021. This program celebrates the achievements of educators around the valley who work with students, particularly educators who are of African descent.
The mission of the Phoenix Alliance of Black School Educators is to enhance and facilitate the education of students of African descent throughout the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
Phoenix ABSE exists to research issues, develop strategies, and provide solutions to problems. These problems create barriers in access and quality in education for all children, particularly those of African descent.
